Xiaomi has confirmed that Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be on sale from the 25th of August, 2016, and the upcoming will feature Snapdragon 625. The chipset seems to be an immediate successor to the chipset found in Xiaomi Redmi 3, which is the Snapdragon 616 SoC. Though the two platforms are Cortex A53 chipsets, Xiaomi Redmi 4 features an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor whose CPU speed could be clocked 2.0 GHz, higher than 1.3ghz ( as found in the previous version), with the aid of the new Adreno 506 GPU.
